  • What forms of online payment are accepted?

  • Can I give by check?

  • Can I give through a wire transfer?

  • Are donations tax deductible?
    Hope Ignited is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. While tax-deductible contributions are made with the understanding that Hope Ignited has complete discretion and control over the use of the donated funds, every effort will be made to apply donations to a preference, if indicated. If goods or services are exchanged for the gift, the value of the goods or services is not tax-deductible.
  • What is the EIN for Hope Ignited?
    Hope Ignited is a 501(c)(3) organization ~ EIN: 27-0045493
  • What happens to donations that are preferenced for a project or personnel that is overfunded or underfunded?
    While consideration will be given to applying donations to a preferenced project or ministry account if indicated, contributors must understand the use to which donated funds are applied are strictly in Hope Ignited’s discretion unless there is a restricted funds written agreement signed by both parties. While generally, if a project or a ministry account is overfunded / underfunded Hope Ignited will seek to apply funds to a purpose similar in the judgment of Hope Ignited to the donor’s indicated preference, Hope Ignited reserves the right to use balances as it deems best towards its charitable purposes.
  • What happens to donations preferenced for the ministry of a specified cross cultural worker if they leave Hope Ignited?
    If a worker leaves Hope Ignited with a balance remaining in the account for the ministry of the specified worker, Hope Ignited reserves the right to use the balance as it deems best towards its charitable purposes. This account was setup by Hope Ignited to track the approved budget (salary, benefits, and other eligible ministry expenses) of the specified worker. Similarly, if a potential worker is unable to raise the support needed to begin service with Hope Ignited and leaves prior to beginning work, Hope Ignited may use the funds in the related account as it deems best. Although Hope Ignited has complete control and discretion of these missionary accounts, generally, Hope Ignited in its discretion will seek to apply these balances to the well-being and support of other workers in the same country or region of the world where the prior worker served. Recommendations of the departing working will also be reviewed and considered. The departing worker is not entitled to receive funds back and cannot designate how these funds will be used going forward, nor are the donors entitled to refunds.
  • What can I expect to receive after making a donation to Hope Ignited?
    Donation Receipt: Hope Ignited will issue an electronic receipt after each donation is processed. Receipts will meet all IRS requirements for substantiating your deduction for support and ministry donations. Year End Giving Statement: Donors will receive a year-end giving statement that provides a total amount of gifts giving throughout a taxable year. Those who give through Donor Accounts will not receive a year end giving statement. Dare to Hope Newsletter: As a donor you will a Dare to Hope newsletter on a monthly basis keeping you up to date on how your generosity is serving to bless the children of Guinea.
